Bristol schools - Building Schools for the Future (BSF)
This extensive project has provided the city of Bristol with four new secondary schools in wave one of the BSF programme. Accommodating more than 4,000 pupils in total, Brunel Academy was the first school in the country to be completed under the BSF initiative, and was officially opened by Prime Minister Gordon Brown in September 2007.

Working in partnership with the consortium that was awarded the project, led by Skanska, Remploy Furniture supplied the majority of the loose and fitted FF&E for all the schools. Starting work in the summer of 2007 Remploy's installation and project management teams completed the project by spring 2008.
Following on from the success of this project, Remploy Furniture also supplied FF&E for the temporary accommodation of the next six schools being built in wave four of Bristol BSF. These are all due for completion by 2011.
Remploy Furniture has, however, had a strong connection with major schools projects in Bristol well before the BSF programme, having supplied all the FF&E for four secondary schools completed in 2005/6 as part of Bristol PFI.
